What causes Gas Bubble Disease? | ||||
|
No one really knows. There are several theories, but so far no single answer has been found. Interestingly, though, there is a drug called acetazolamide that seems to cure it. This drug inhibits the carbonic anhydrase reaction in the body, so one assumption is that its related to that process.
